Steel and wood for object café

object is a café on Nimetska Street in Kyiv, where the morning coffee begins with the cool gleam of steel and the warm grain of wood. For this venue we made custom furniture: a stainless steel bar counter, the barista's back work area, a sofa for guests and wall panels in veneer and stainless steel.

The centrepiece is the bar counter. Its stainless steel front keeps up with the rhythm of the day, from the first espresso to the last cup, and takes daily cleaning in its stride. Behind it is the barista's work area, where a steel worktop meets veneered panels in the soft glow of hidden lighting. The whole interior rests on that contrast: restrained, precise metal and living veneer you want to run your hand across.

The same story carries into the details: the restroom is finished in stainless steel and veneer panels, a soft sofa makes room for unhurried conversations, and a spill stop with the object logo cut into it has become the venue's small signature on the bar. This is the kind of hospitality furniture we love to make - designed around a specific space, its materials and its character.
